the senior hardware engineer shall be skilled at maintaining and troubleshooting with major data center hardware of well known brands. he should also be skilled at installing, administering, and troubleshooting server operating systems (e.g. aix/unix, windows nt/2000/2003 server).
the senior hardware engineer shall also be proficient in developing system configuration diagrams and systems management presentation graphics for tracking or planning of the distribution of the operating system, cache, applications, or user data files. he should be able to use cad or comparable software as well as presentation software in the preparation of pie charts, bar charts, and histograms for reports of systems performance and utilization.
the senior hardware engineer shall possess a minimum of a bachelor degree from an accredited institution, and have at least six (6) years of applicable work experience, at least four (4) years with well known server brand (ibm, hp, compaq, etc.) and four (4) years experience in maintaining hardware similar to the scope of this contract. he must also possess all needed certifications to run, maintain and repair ibm p-series, storage and tape library. it is preferred that the senior hardware engineer be bilingual with english and arabic speaking, reading and writing skills.
