position overview:
the massage therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to our clients using lpg lipomassage and endermolift therapy for cellulite and wrinkles reduction. they must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, posses a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our spas specific massage and body treatment offerings. they must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
role and responsibilities:
be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
provide consistent professional lpg massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns.
be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the med-spa.
properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the med-spas policies and procedures.
perform prep work; properly supervise cleanliness and restocking room as required.
communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the med-spa that require attention.
actively promote the med-spa, treatments, services, sessions, promotions available, as well as other related and non-related treatments provided within the med-spa.
handle guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
possess ability to work without direct supervision.
maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the med-spa.
qualifications and education requirements
previous massage therapy certificate or experience is a plus
honest and personable.
great with microderm and other skin treatments
must be a quick learner and independent thinker
sales experience is a plus
excellent organizational skills
excellent selling and interpersonal skills
effective interpersonal skills
ability to learn quickly and adjust to new systems and treatments
basic computer knowledge.

operation responsibilities:
assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
educating and advising a wide range of patients with diet-related disorders on the practical ways in which they can improve their health by adopting healthier eating habits and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient or client.
advise patients on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
create an individual meal and exercise plan aimed at losing weight or increasing overall health.
signup new clients and promote them the centers weight-loss products and activities.
ensure that all inquiries are used as an opportunity to promote the business and reputation of the health club and med-spa
calculating patients' nutritional requirements using standard equations based on assessments of blood chemistry, temperature, stress, mobility and other relevant factors.
prepare patients full health assessment report required to determine the most efficient and effective settings for our weight-loss equipment.
provide educational seminars if needed to promote healthy eating and the centers weight-loss activities.
plan, conduct, and evaluate dietary, nutritional, and epidemiological research.
coordinate diet-counseling services.
write research reports and other publications to document and communicate research findings.
educating other healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, biochemists, social workers, care workers and community workers) about food and nutrition issues.
advising athletes and sportspersons on how diet can optimize performance and recovery from injury.
educating sportspersons to understand the physiology and biochemistry of different types of exercise and the role nutrition has in these processes.
writing reports and case notes and maintaining accurate records.
preparing information packs, flyers and other promotional materials.
qualifications and education requirements
minimum qualifications requirements:
1. minimum 2 years office experience
2. marketing/sales skills are a plus
3. strong computer skills
4. strong customer focus.
5. excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. experience in supervising a successful team.
7. ability to work independently and manage own productivity
8. good organizational skills.
9. able to identify and drive revenue opportunities.
10. an in-depth understanding of health & fitness with a creative drive to improve the service we offer.
minimum educational requirements:
1. bachelors degree in food science, nutrition, or a related area
2. registered dietitian certification or equivalent
3. computer literate. (mid-advanced level)
4. bilingual (preferably english or french)
