the demand planner leads, manages, and coordinates the strategic forecasting and sales & operations planning processes for all fine business unit volume. the demand planner is responsible for facilitating the consolidation and alignment of tactical fine business unit (fbu) forecasts into a “one number” strategic forecast for the entire company. the demand planner is a member of the fbu leadership teams and facilitates the strategic sales & operations planning process (s&op) between sales, marketing, finance, operations, and inventory management. the demand planner is also responsible for collaborating with the demand planning team in the other fbu’s, supporting the strategic demand planning requirements of the business communities, and continuously improving the group demand planning capability.
