position overview:
the medical esthetician administers professional facials and an array of body treatments to our clients using our latest state-of-the-art laser equipment. they must possess a thorough knowledge of the skin, have excellent facial treatment techniques, possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our med-spa’s specific facial treatment offerings. they must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness and beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
role and responsibilities:
• be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
• coordinate laser aesthetic department & skincare consultations.
• assist with laser procedures, perform skin care services and assist in patient care, staff training & education services.
• responsible for inventory control and marketing of products and services.
• able to take good care of our clients, and handle their questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
• skincare and pre-procedure consultations as well as post treatment follow-ups.
• provide consistent professional facial and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
• be flexible with schedule by supporting the needs of the med-spa’s flexible schedule arrangements.
• properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
• have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating guests in these areas.
• uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the med-spa’s policies and procedures.
• perform prep work and properly clean and restock room as required.
• communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the med-spa that require attention.
• actively promote the med-spa, treatments, services, sessions, promotions available, as well as other related and non-related treatments provided within the med-spa.
• provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
• possess ability to work without direct supervision.
• maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
• regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the med-spa.
qualifications and education requirements:
• must hold and maintain a current laser certificate or diploma
• honest and personable.
• great with microderm and other skin treatments
• must be a quick learner and independent thinker
• sales experience is a plus
• basic computer knowledge.
• excellent organizational skills
• excellent selling and interpersonal skills
• effective interpersonal skills
• ability to learn quickly and adjust to new systems and treatments
